"Good? It's Perfect."

This is leftover from a fire of The Internet Archive on Clement Street (ironically presumed electrical in nature). Alas, it caused a lot of damage to the lovely Taishan Cafe, which has since relocated across the street as The Claypot House.

When the charred structure was pulled down, this vintage sign for Vess Cola was revealed. The company is even still in business, although it caters more to the St. Louis, Missouri area where it's manufactured. The cream flavor comes in an unusual shocking pink color! The building next to it was built in 1922, so one can assume that the painted art is even older than that.

That is amazing!! Both the subject matter and the shots you were able to capture. The painting looks absolutely pristine! Shame though, about the hassle and damaged caused because of the fire. Vess Cola is a new one to me. I don't know if it ever found its way to the south.

I read a man's blog, who was a mere state or two away, lamenting the lack of Vess, so I suspect it's quite regional indeed!

Wow, what a discovery! I can't believe the sign is so vivid after all this time.
